Snowbaby (Don't look if you're Meg!)

Sadly, the snow has melted, washed away by today's unseasonably warm rain.
Here to stay, however (or to go live with Meg, my Holiday Traditions Swap partner), is Snowbaby.
Snowbaby is a slicker facsimile of a little guy my mom and I got at a craft fair when I was about three years old. The original Snowbaby is pretty sad looking--two foam balls with some matted fiberfill "snow" sort of glued on. He is always lovingly settled on a bow of the Christmas tree at my parents' house, napping away the season, and I think this version captures his spirit of innocence and sleepy joy pretty closely.

That's my first crack EVER at a tutorial up there, folks, so go easy on me. Something's wrong with my printer and it keeps smudging everything up. Argh. Still, if you want to make a Snowbaby to live in your tree, have at it.

Snowbaby looks adorable! I will have to try him out. I am collecting patterns to make hubby's cousin a "handmade Christmas ornament package" wedding gift.

You should give it a try--he's really easy to make. Let me know how it goes if you do!

All of my holiday craftiness has amounted to *intentions,* but I did print out your cute pattern, so that is one step further to craft-happening than I have been all season.

Thank you!
