Zombies Take Montreal?

It's done! Yes, the week of staycation-style revelry has slowed my progress, but I managed to complete this late last night while cuddled next to Mark as he watched Pirates of the Caribbean.
Honestly, such hours represent some of my happiest--sewing next to my sweetheart, while a movie plays, usually something nerdy about pirates or astronauts or zombie killers.
A study in contrast, I guess. Cute, felty scenes at my fingertips, apocalyptic mayhem on the screen. It's all good.

Ditto! Except said honey is usually crafting too- knitting or weaving chainmaile, most likely.

We're so bringing our knitting to Zombieland.

I bet on any given evening, that's just where most of us can be found, sewing away while we "watch" movies with our husbands! ;-)

My sentiments exactly! Except there's usually a mutt or two vying for my attention.

Only one mutt here, but she definitely wants attention!

I wanted to say two things...

First, your blog and etsy site have inspired me to give felt appliqué a go! I made an appliqué quilt years ago - kind of creating as I went (I'm terrible at planning anything) - but the felt gives a unique look and character that calico material lacks. So far I've made a few wreaths and am attempting to create a house scene for my sister who just purchased her first house...it pales in comparison to your pieces of art, but will hopefully pass the "handmade Christmas gift" test :)

Second, crafting next to my boyfriend is the only way I can make it through football season! We both get time to do what we enjoy, and time to snuggle on the couch while doing it!

Adria--thank you so much for your kind words. I truly appreciate it. And yes--that's how I endure football season, too!

I think it's funny that I'm not the only one crafting on the couch next to my dude. It's about the only time we get together, after our daughter goes to bed, I really love it!
