I'm Tired. For Reals.

Right on, owl. Now would be a good time for a little shut-eye. After all, you let Jillian Michaels shred your behind in the wee hours, and since then you've done laundry, made a healthy lunch, given Tavi a makeover (to reflect his blue-blue eyes and soft baby features), and completed a whole custom order...of, um, an owl. You've earned a nap is what I'm saying--never mind it's the middle of the day. I'm behind you. I've got your back--and if anybody tries to call you lazy, well, they'll have me to contend with. Ahem.

I hope you had (or better yet are still having) a wonderful nap. I know you finished our first custom order, but I could fall for another one easily if I see this owl. And somewhere in your archives I saw those wonderful jellyfish you did... Really wonderful work you're doing.

Thanks, Susanne! You just say the word, and I will gladly make anything you like!

The middle of the day is PRECISELY the time to take a nap, otherwise it's just an early bedtime!

I started doing Jillian Micheals after having my third baby and I just about died! LOVE the owl SOOOO much. Last night I stayed awake for a hour thinking up crafty goodness....

Don't worry, you're not alone -- Jillian's kicking my trash as well! I think we both deserve a rest whenever one is needed! :D

And that is one of the cutest owls ever. Beautiful work, as always!

Owl or owl, never mind, I like whatever.
I do not understand what the translator translates ...
I like your creativity.

Mavi--I'm sorry my humor doesn't translate! I was just being silly! Thank you for your kind words.

ADORABLE BLOG. MY DAUGHTER WANTS TO LEARN TO DO THIS...

Melissa Crowe said...

Thanks, Theresa--and your daughter could definitely learn it. Maybe she might like to try the pink house tutorial on the side bar as a way of getting started?

How did you make that tree trunk? - I love that texture! beautiful work :)

Melissa Crowe said...

Corinne--I think it's really pretty similar to the fill technique you linked to, or kind of like the brick stitch, maybe?

And thanks, my dear.
