Hello, all! Annabelle here.
First let me just say that I normally am not a fan of making things from patterns. The idea of spending my time making something somebody else already thought up and created does not appeal to me. However, these little monster iPod cosies from Kids' Crafternoon Sewing looked so cute and fuzzy that I gave in.
It was delightful from the start. I love the idea of recycling old felted wool sweaters! The project itself was pretty simple, and I say this as a not-too-brilliant sewer. The patterns had to be resized some (they were a little big for my iPod nano) but after that I was able to manage with very little help.
Meet Moby.
I found this whole project very inspiring. I mean, it simply begs to be personalized! One eye, two eyes, THREE eyes, even an eye patch! It could have fangs, buckteeth, snaggleteeth, ears, horns, spikes... The possibilities are endless! Do you get that I'm excited about this? Also, as a nice bonus, many of my Xmas-gift-giving worries are over.
...nom nom nom...
Right now I'm heading off to make one for my BFF Grace, as a friendaversary gift. So long, and tip your waiters! (But not too much.) (Melissa here--if you'd like to win a copy of Kids' Crafternoon Sewing, leave a comment on this post, and I'll select a winner via random number on Friday at midnight. Thanks, y'all!)

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Talented mom....talented daughter!
I'm still sad I didn't win the vegan wool pink house hoop... but winning this book would make me feel better! My three boys and I would really enjoy it!
I;m all about cuteness...especially when it comes to giving for Christmas.
So cute! I can't wait to see some of the other projects available to try with my goddaughter.
I would LOVE to win! So would my kids! Thanks.
Annabelle, I love that you'd rather make something coming straight out of your own head then follow a pattern! This book looks great though, I'm glad you chose to make that little monster, he's too cute.

Love the monster! That little x for an eye is too cute. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I win your give away (and that makes it really hard to type!) Thanks for the chance!
The iPod case is really cute (and I could use one!)
We are so excited to see everything in this book!!!
Me please! I'd love to try these projects..
Super cute!
that's a very nice pouch you have made, simply wonderful, keep it up.
I would like to try my luck. I hope to get ideas for doing stuff for my son.
I recently stitched a toy train for him, and at the moment, it is his prized possession!!
What a cute project!! What a wonderful idea to introduce sewing to children!! (I want to make one too!!)
Adorable craft and a wonderful post. Miss A I think that you should convince your mother to let you have a weekly post on her blog.
FIrst off, miss A..... thought you were your mama writing because i sort of missed that you were reviewing the first time around. you are an amazing young lady and i DIG your *nom*nom*nom* monster. if i had any sort of iwhatever, i'd make one of those in a second. (well, truth be told, i do have mac desktop, but a case for that seems unecessary :-) still, i'd be thrilled to win as i DO know people with ipods. ahem.
Fingers crossed for luck... my 2 oldest daughters would LOVE to make that iPod case! I bet there are projects my 6 y/o would love too...
Thanks for the chance!
Great job Miss A. Fun stuff!
Super cute. I'd love to try some of those projects.
