Depapering/Repurposing

I've had a cold for 2 1/2 weeks, folks. BLARGH.

This means crafting has ground to a halt, grading is limping along, and only in moments of sudden and uncharacteristic energy do I manage to work on my new, beloved project, this wreck of a dollhouse I found by the side of the road. Here you can see that my current stage is "depapering," which takes more muscle than I can muster, really. But when I kid myself into giving it a go, I use my old Whole Foods employee discount card; it's no longer serving as it once did (since my beloved Mark is now a stay-at-home dad again), but it makes a pretty good scraper!

Good luck! A tip: a bit of vinegar in a water soak helps to take off the old paper. Also, I'm dying to follow every. progress. shot. on this dollhouse. :-)

Hi Melissa, my name is Dene. I'm Brazilian and I live in England. I also have a blog - Craft to Inspire - and I really want to make a post about your blog and work. I almost died when I saw your beautiful pictues! Sometimes I make some applique on canvas or embroidery frames is well. You can see some on the blog. I love it! Please tell me if it's okay to speak about you and get some of your pictures. You can answer me through the blog or send me an e-mail: dene.edwards@gmail.com.
