While I await final papers and exams, I find myself free to sink into the sweetness of the season--we've watched both the Mr. Bean and the Black Adder Christmas specials this week; we've taken many brisk, pine-cone collecting walks; we've filled the bay window with junk-mail paper snowflakes (using this lovely tutorial--try it--it's fun and feels quite virtuous!); general elfishness has ensued. Right now, Miss A. is working on a secret project that means she's in her room, Indigo Girls on the iPod, "Please Knock" sign on the door for a couple of hours every afternoon. That leaves me free to work on the felty stocking you see in progress above. I'd love to hear what secret projects are in the works at your houses!

How cute! I can't wait to see the final product.
Cute elf!
I am making flannel pajama pants for my husband. Keeping them secret means I do a little bit at a time, over many days. Tuesday I pinned the pattern and cut fabric. Today I sewed the legs together, then realized I forgot to get elastic. So I'll have to finish the waistband another day (when he's not around to peek).
Beth--what a cozy present that will be! It reminds me that the year Annabelle was born, we were very poor at Christmas time, and I wanted new pajamas, so my husband tried to sew some for me. It was a lovely, sweet disaster. :-)
He's like a living, it seems run!
Me too, can't wait to see the finished little elf.
Oh my goodness, that elf is adorable! Can't wait to see the finished product. :)
I'm working on ornaments for an exchange with my sisters-in-law and I'm excited to finish them. They'll be felt gingerbread men and women.
Glad to hear you're having a nice Christmas season!
Oh, felt gingerbread people! So fun. I made some little ones once to go with a tea set, and I loved them.
Very Creative Art...go ahead...
