Sophia and Max

Maybe these two, born a month apart and from places far flung, are destined to meet someday, beyond their hoops (in flesh and blood, not felt, I mean), and fall in love.
Or maybe it's time for me to put the needle down and pay attention to the "real" world for a few hours. (Given a choice between stitching felt babies and grading lit papers, though...)

Baby Hoop Factory (and Look What My Mom and Annabelle Gave Me!)

(Does it count as a "Wordless Wednesday" when you cram all the words into the title?)

Signature Styles (a giveaway, baby)

The folks at Lark Crafts were nice enough to sense that I have no crafts of my own to share and, so, to send me a book to give away as a means of distracting you from my bad blogger form.
This particular book is a top-notch bathtub read, folks, and I should know. (Sometimes I bathe twice a day, whether I need it or not.) Signature Styles is full of behind-the-music-type information on some of coolest women from the design/craft world (like my gorgeous friend Meg McElwee--above--who Annabelle says looks like Audrey Hepburn in that photo, and the always-lovely Betz White, resplendent in polka-dots below); think People Magazine, only about crafters, and without the break ups and rehabs and blurry-beach, look-at-that-cellulite photos.
Instead, you get each artist's thoughts on personal style, home decorating, and the like, along with a favorite project tutorial, like the headband below, from Elsie Flannigan. (It's made from bamboo felt, too!)
If you'd like to do the bubbles-and-book thing in your own tub--or, you know, if you'd just like a copy of Signature Style, leave a comment on this post. I'll close 'em down at midnight on Thursday, April 25, and pick a winner, random-generator style.

Really Big Show

Well, it happened . . . but barely . . .
The show's up through the end of April. The snow will hopefully melt long before then!
